AIIMS is the prime medical institution providing the best medical education and world-class medical treatments to patients. AIIMS New Delhi ranks 1 among the 50 colleges as per the NIRF ranking. This institution selects candidates for the bachelor's in medical science on behalf of their scores in the 12 standard and medical entrance test NEET.

General: 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
SC/ST: 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
NRI/OCI: 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
The student must qualify for the exam with the above marks range, and must also clear the NEET examination cut-off. The cut-off varies from year to year. Last year the cut-off for the general category was 47.
AIIMS Delhi: 715+ marks (Rank 1–50)
Other AIIMS: 650–710 marks (depending on the location).
There is a medical counselling committee that conducts counselling sessions for the students to allow them colleges on the basis of their academic performance and the score in NEET examination.
There are 2,303 seats in the total AIIMS of India. Among them, AIIMS Delhi obtains a total of 132 seats. It is the number 1 college in India.

General: 55 seats (41.67%)
OBC (Other Backward Caste): 35 seats (27%)
SC( Scheduled Caste): 19 seats (15%)
ST (Scheduled Caste): 10 seats (7.5%)
EWS (Economically weaker section): 13 seats (10%)
PwD (Persons with Disabilities): 5% of total seats (7 seats allocated as per the following considerations for each category):
General: 3 seats
OBC: 2 seats
SC: 1 seat
ST: 1 seat
EWS: 1 seat
An economically weaker section is described under the family earning below 8 lakhs per year. And, the Pwd person is a person who is at least 40% disabled. There are 7 seats allocated to foreign nationals and OCI candidates that are excluded from the total of 132 seats.
Other than the Delhi AIIMS there are more than 22 AIIMS and one or two are still under construction. The cut-off for the examination will vary for the year 2025 as per the last year. The cut-off is also segregated category-wise.
