Pre-University refers to the before University educational program which prepares students for their further academic qualification. This level of education starts after the completion of high-school and before the starting of university programs. Students choose a particular stream in this stage and their foundations are built in a relevant field that they can also choose for the University education.
The Pre-University is like a bridge or strong path to the University level that is also working as a foundation for further success. Different countries name this study level with a unique name. Like in India, it is called higher secondary education. But, there are some other types of Pre universities available which everyone must know.
This stage takes typically two years to build foundations for the university knowledge.
The motivate of this duration is to educate and enable the students for their University level and advance their skills to make the right choice in their graduation.
Programs like IB and STPM are globally recognised for their excellence. However foundation programs are registered with certain Universities. Whereas, higher secondary pre-university is affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, and other recognised educational boards.
Pre-University bridges gaps to the University level and provide the foundational guidance of the subjects the students have to study in their University stage. This educational stage is the basic eligibility criteria for the students looking forward for University education.
